TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Contourist (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

Contourist lets you turn activities you have recorded on third-party platforms, such as Strava, into a map-based digital keepsake. Features may change as the product develops.

2. Early access

Contourist is offered on an early-access basis. The Service is provided “as is” and may contain bugs, change without notice, or be unavailable from time to time. We may add, modify or remove features, and may limit or end access to the Service at any time.

3. Your account and third-party data

To create a keepsake you may connect a third-party account such as Strava. You are responsible for complying with the terms of those services, and you confirm you have the right to use any activity data you bring to Contourist. Your use of connected services remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes the rights of others.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding and design, is owned by Contourist and protected by applicable law. You retain ownership of the activity data and content you provide; you grant us the permission needed to process it in order to generate and display your keepsake.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of map or elevation data. Maps are for personal, illustrative use and should not be relied on for navigation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contourist will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
